The group had some solid ideas to create sculptures based on Craig Fishers ‘Homefront’, draw lots of characters from Jon Burgerman’s work and make mobiles from Tom Goddard’s work.
One group came up with the idea to make a series of shoe costumes/characters based on Lisa Scantlebury’s art piece which made some great photographs.
Ashton said, “I really enjoyed making the shoe characters it was great fun”.
One group of girls took their time making a series of elephants based on Tom Goddard’s work and Nina, Mary- Jayne and Maddison said “ we tried our best to make the mobile look good and in the end it looks great so we are really happy”.
Another group made lots of Burgerman style characters which made a great wall display.
Working together as teams really strengthened the class and the workshops progressed well as there were plenty of ideas flowing around all the time.
Nia said “I really like the way in which everyone is helping to make Nathan’s idea work.”
