Artworks inspired by Locws International Art Across The City 2011
On arrival to the school I was faced with a freshly painted wall all ready to put a mural on. The mural would be an amalgamation of sketches taken from day one – the Locws tour. The small, but whole, class could be involved in this and everyone was dying to get involved.
Running alongside the Mural were other projects recreating three-dimensional versions of the work from their sketchbooks. We had trees growing out of boulders and a word panel created in response to Rhys’ “Industrial Revolution”.
The whole two days were very enjoyable and the pupils were a delight to work with and were all engaged in such exciting artworks. We certainly made the rest of the school envious of our fantastic surreal work.
