Guided Tour
Using Locws as a tool to encourage children to choose Art as a GCSE subject was the case for the Year 8 tour.
“It’s a lot of broken pieces put together to form an artwork. Does it represent vandalism, or bullying in playgrounds” said Nichole, whilst viewing ‘Graveground’. “As its plonked together it seems to represent a mixture of emotions”, said Shannon. Lawrence thought that it was very impressive and put a strong point across.
Jake commented on Neville Gabie‘s ‘Land and Sea’, “is he trying to embrace the landscape. I’d like to make a journey through our school in this way”.
Alex thought that Paul Granjon’s performance ‘Sail Bridge Music Action’ was very impressive using the bridge as a stage “its very creative and different”.
The whole group were very focused and I can’t wait to see what they will create in their school situation.
