Locws Schools 2015: Blaenymaes Primary Yr 4: Workshops

Workshop days with David Marchant

The children of Year 4 seemed to really enjoy the workshop sessions as they learnt many new skills during the creation of their 2 and 3 dimensional works. The work combined the Art Across the City Exhibition with their own ideas.          The children created some Mod-rock balloons with their own faces painted on to represent their dreams together with large coloured drawings and a series of arrows with their local street names on to be installed in the school grounds.
Ben said, “my favourite part of the project was every single bit of it”
Divine said that “I like this project because we get to draw, paint, make all sorts of different artwork”.
The class teacher Mrs. Miller also enjoyed the project saying,
“This is my first art project as a newly qualified teacher. I had a wonderful experience using new materials, (some for the first time ). This art project has been a big learning curve for me and I’ve really enjoyed it.”
