Braving the weather today we managed to have a great tour. Abbie said that Jeremy Dellers work was so big and different that she had never seen anything like it before. Oliver said, “I would write that People should be more fair”. “It has a great contrast”, said Alesha.
Emily thought that John Burgerman’s works were adverts for the shops. Oliver thought it was “about things not having a good life as they all looked sad.”
The children were amazed at Lisa Scantlebury’s work thinking it was very different from the rest. “You don’t usually see feet, trousers and shoes on posters”, said Thomas.
When we viewed Thomas Goddard’s work it was brought to light that Maisha was in the art procession for Lizzie. Everyone related to Thomas’ work , It was incredibly interesting when Maisha pointed out that her great grandfather was Wyn Thomas, who had a display of his postcards in the Museum.
Whilst entering the display area in the national Waterfront Museum the children immediately noticed an older class from their school on screen in an Art procession as part of last years Locws Schools project.
