Art Across The City: Education & Outreach Exhibition Launch

Over 60 local school pupils joined the Deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Ceinwen Thomas, The Lord Lieutenant for West Glamorgan Mr Byron Lewis and other guests at the National Waterfront Museum for the launch of the Art Across The City Outreach and Education Exhibition.

The exhibition showcases a range of artwork created by local schools pupils for the Art Across The City education programme with artist David Marchant. The participating schools are Oystermouth Primary, Penllergaer Primary, Morriston Primary, Mayals Primary, Gowerton Primary and Pontarddulais Comprehensive.

The exhibition also features entries to the Art Across The City Young People’s Drawing Competition and, in partnership with Play Right Play Association, prizes were awarded by the Deputy Lord Mayor to the selected winners.

“It’s great to see the talent of these young people who have responded to our Art Across The City artworks and created their own work”, said David Hastie, Director of Locws International. “It shows how much talent there is out there and it’s important to show their work in a professional public exhibition for all to see. These young people should be very proud of what they’ve achieved”.

The exhibition is open daily in the first floor gallery at the National Waterfront Museum and runs until Wednesday 20th November.
