Virtual tour and workshop days with David Marchant
We started off the workshop with a Powerpoint presentation explaining the various concepts of the artworks across Swansea city centre. After much discussion and a lot of concentration, as a group, we decided to mix our ideas to make a very important site specific artwork.
The artwork was going to be based on the fact that this was the last year of Brynhyfryd Infants being separated from Brynhyfryd Juniors.
We decided to use the current and new school jumper within the design. We also wrote our memories from the school on hand made beach postcards based on Colin Priest’s work and write our future dreams (representing the new uniform) on bubbles which were inspired by Emily Speed’s work. We also wrote some poignant words on arrows, which cut across from one uniform to the other based on Graham Dolphin’s work.
