Workshop days with David Marchant
We started by drawing the children’s school whilst discussing a variety of ideas which we could create during the workshop sessions. It was a beautiful day and we were able to work in the outside areas of the school which were very inspiring.
Everyone in the class had a go at all artworks created so the whole class collaborated and contributed to create great group works.
We all made signs forming an artwork based on Graham Dolphin’s work.
We all made coloured boulders based on Michael Stumpf’s work. These were then photographed in various unusual situations around the school. The boulders questioning their situations and their self-being.
A series of paper-mache balloons were made based on Emily Speed’s work . An image of the school taken from their earlier sketch book work was then painted onto the surface of the balloons and hung in the trees outside to dry. A series of painted super cars were also created to form an ongoing signpost.
