Locws Schools 2015: Blaenymaes Primary Yr 3: Workshops

Workshop Days with David Marchant
This cross-curricular lesson involving Literacy, Numeracy, Technology and Art always makes a successful workshop. The staff were very supportive and made pictorial printouts and graphs to enhance the overall learning experience.

We started with large scale group drawings and the Headteacher was so impressed with these drawings that she decided to get them printed up to go outside as permanent art pieces for the school.
“This is great fun”, said Sophia who was busy making a sculpture influenced by several of the Locws 2015 Artists.
We made some great sculptures and even produced our own Mega Poem together with memories written on 2D balloons a collaborative piece based inspired by Colin Priest’s and Emily Speed’s work.
Everyone was impressed with the group work and the way in which the children worked as a team throughout the workshop days.
“I wish I could do this every day”, said Ivor.
