Locws Schools 2014/15: YGG Felindre

It was interesting to work with the whole of the juniors experiencing various levels of work both through the process and practicality.

Sophie said, “its beautiful, I love what I have made”.

There was the great concept of using Dylan Thomas’s A child’s Christmas in Wales for inspiration to produce a terraced street with aspects from the play written in the roadway as though Dylan was writing the play with his thoughts surrounding him.

Elliot said that his work was original and really told a story.

“We had loads of fun making our secret garden”, said FFion.

Arwen helped to make a fairy castle, inspired by Dylan’s pencil and its surroundings.

and said,  “What we made was really pretty”.

The jungle of art was the name given to Thomas’ Psychedelic jungle.

Isaac said that his art looked like an advert for Dylan Thomas.

James who had really thought about his work explained it delightfully.

“Its me in the park with my friend Aston and my dog. With an angel looking down at us and some aliens looking down at the angel”. James’ work was influenced by Pete Fowler’s mural, A portrait of the artist as a young Octopus.
