As part of Art Across The City 2013 we are running a Free Young People’s Mural Competition, asking young people from across the globe to enter their mural designs about Swansea. Young people are creating expressive representations of the city by using it as inspiration, researching into the architecture, learning about Welsh history, the language, people and it’s landscape.
Today we received entries from Ysgol Pen Y Bryn in Swansea which have already been upload onto Facebook ready for public vote. So make sure you send your entries in as soon as they are finished so everyone has the opportunity to “like” them! Winners for each category will be selected by a judging panel which will then be announced by the Lord Mayor at our public exhibition opening of Swansea Icons and Locws Schools artworks in the Civic Centre, Swansea at 1:30pm on 1st May 2013.
