During half-term Locws International volunteers held free public workshops at our information hub located on Oxford Street. As these workshops coincided with Halloween we decided to give them a spooky edge, and invited everyone to make their own Halloween mask based on Jock Mooney’s “Swansea Kebab” (which also received a spooky make-over from our technical team!)
Even the devil himself made an appearance at David Blandy’s “The Devil Meets Dylan Thomas”, wanting to show everyone how a video game should be played! Okay, not the actual devil – but Swansea’s centre was full of ghosts, vampires and demons who were all draw to towards the hellish metal music coming from inside the fire-red horse box. With art, music, games and mask-making Art Across The City’s information hub became a hot spot during a very cold half-term week.
The question is: Did you see the spooky accessories created by Locws International’s technical team? They were a real treat! But the trick was that they were only there for ‘All Hallows Eve’. If you had your photo taken with the ghostly ice-cream or fiendish devil please send them in, tweet them, or tag us! We would love to see how scary Swansea can be.
