Carwyn Evans was born in Carmarthen and lives in Cardiff, Wales
Evans’s work is concerned principally with issues related to an individual sense of place and cultural experience. Working with mixed media, photography and installation; Evans questions those aspects that are inseparable to language, community and a region’s character. Current lines of thought are in visualizing diasporic identity; addressing themes of dislocation, desire and memory
Evans graduated from Cardiff School of Art in 2001 and has exhibited across the UK and internationally including recent projects in Austria and Mexico
