
Rhona Byrne was born and lives in Dublin, Ireland
Rhona Byrne employs diverse media in her work, photography, video, sculpture, installation. She has initiated several participatory based art projects.
Her work often responds to a particular place or situation, exploring the physical, emotional and cultural relationships we have with our surroundings by examining how as individuals, we may aspire, adapt, observe, connect, seek and find solutions for living within and beyond both promises and expectations of a modern life
Byrne graduated from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, in 1994 with a BFA in sculpture and has exhibited extensively in Ireland and abroad. She has initiated collaborative projects and has been awarded artists residencies both nationally and internationally
