Inspired by Colin Priest’s Bay Watch project for Art Across The City, we are inviting people of all ages to come and take part in our fun drawing workshops on Swansea Bay’s fantastic beach in front of the Slip Bridge.
These free drop in workshops are led by local artists David Marchant and Rik Bennet, where you will be invited to draw directly onto the beach using rakes, sticks, driftwood, stones and your hands. We are looking for drawings of giant clouds, huge ice creams or even writing a message on the beach in ginormous letters for all to see.
Our new Beach Drawing Workshops start this Sunday and you are invited to come along for some free family fun on the beach!
Colin Priest’s work for Art Across The City, which celebrated Swansea Bay and the Slip Bridge, including commissioning a Slip Bridge Summer Sundae Ice Cream from local parlour, Joe’s Ice Cream, which is just around the corner from the drawing workshops.
The drawing workshops will be documented with photographs and memories of Swansea Bay on show in our Info Hub in the Quadrant Shopping Centre.
This workshops take place this SUNDAY MAY 3rd and SUNDAY MAY 24th 11am – 3pm.
Please meet by the Slip Bridge steps but feel free to join us anytime for and come along for some FREE family fun on the beach.
