Civic Centre Atrium
High up in the Civic Centre floats a huge cluster of helium balloons, each printed with a picture of the building. As the temperature changes and passing visitors create shifts in the air, the balloons gently shimmer and dip around the atrium. Speed both celebrates and laments the passing of its iconic, Brutalist architecture; the loss of an equally loved and maligned building and what the future holds.
A limited amount of free balloons will be available from the Information Hub in the Quadrant Shopping Centre.
