We also discussed what might have inspired Dylan Thomas in relationship to Cwmdonkin Park.<\/p>\n<p>When I asked what site specific Artwork might mean Aimie replied \u201cis it art for a certain place\u201d. We played around with some ideas in the park regarding \u2018Dylan\u2019s pencil\u2019 and also created some drawings of the Artwork.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We had a small bus journey to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?portfolio=pete-fowler&amp;langswitch_lang=en\"><strong>Pete Fowler<\/strong><\/a>s mural work by the Station which also proved to be inspiring. \u201cIs it a Mermaid in the centre of the mural\u201d\u2019 asked Mirain. \u201cWhy hasn\u2019t he got arms\u201d,\u00a0 said Olivia, \u201cAre they war horses\u201d, said Morgan.<\/p>\n<p>Another calming bus journey took us to see the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?portfolio=jeremy-millar&amp;langswitch_lang=en\">Jeremy Deller<\/a> <\/strong>art piece\u2019More Poetry is Needed\u2019, where several children asked \u201cis that Art?\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Back at school we planned the next stages of the development of our art piece .\u201dWe decided to make a Pete Fowler type Mural , a sculpture of a pencil made from pencils and lots of collage work.<\/p>\n<p>Every class member got involved with the mural and added their own colourful art pieces.
