Artists are invited to submit their work for consideration for a temporary public artwork to be realised in the city of Swansea, Wales, UK, as part of Locws International\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"www.artacrossthecity.com\"><strong>Art Across The City<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0during 2015, which will be our 15th anniversary year.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>two<\/em> selected artists will receive a \u00a31,000 fee and a budget up to \u00a32,500 to cover design, production, materials and installation, plus agreed expenses.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Ten artists from the Open Submission process will be shortlisted with two being selected by the judging panel to develop and deliver their proposal. A second commission was awarded to artist <a title=\"Lisa Scantlebury\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?portfolio=lisa-scantlebury\">Lisa Scantlebury<\/a>. Both works featured as part of <a title=\"Art Across The City 2014\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=7758&amp;langswitch_lang=en\">Art Across The City 2014.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>2015 will be Locws International&#8217;s 15th anniversary. In that time, we have commissioned over 100 artists to make new work including <a title=\"Jeremy Deller\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?portfolio=jeremy-deller\">Jeremy Deller<\/a>, Jon Burgerman, Sinta Tantra, Tatham &amp; O&#8217;Sullivan, Olaf Breuning and Bob &amp; Roberta Smith.<\/p>\n<p>We will be announcing the six artists for Art Across The City 2015 shortly, which will be supported by two further commissions (<a title=\"CALL MUM\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=9314&amp;langswitch_lang=en\">Dominic from Luton<\/a> and DJ Roberts) commissioned in 2014 as well as the two Open Submission artists and our permanent artworks including <a title=\"Pete Fowler\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?portfolio=pete-fowler\">Pete Fowler<\/a>, <a title=\"Bedwyr Williams\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?portfolio=bedwyr-williams\">Bedwyr Williams<\/a> and Jeremy Deller.<\/p>\n<p>Project Manager, Gordon Dalton: &#8216;The inaugural Open Submission was a great success and we are looking to expand upon that in 2015, our anniversary year.
