{"id":7103,"date":"2013-09-03T12:05:00","date_gmt":"2013-09-03T12:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=7103"},"modified":"2013-09-04T15:31:41","modified_gmt":"2013-09-04T15:31:41","slug":"take-part-in-jacob-dahlgrens-placard-procession-in-swansea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/?p=7103","title":{"rendered":"Take part in Jacob Dahlgren&#8217;s Placard Procession in Swansea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Art Across The City: Autumn 2013\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?portfolio=art-across-the-city-2013-2\">Art Across The City <\/a>invites you to take part in our Artwork Placard Procession through Swansea as part of Swedish artist, <a title=\"Introducing Jacob Dahlgren\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=6941\">Jacob Dahlgren<\/a>&#8216;s new commission this September 7th Sept 2pm.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nDahlgren will lead one of his artistic demonstrations through the city centre to the Amphitheatre where a permanent sculptural work based on the demo placards will be situated. Based upon the abstract paintings of fellow Swedish artist Olle Baertling (1911-1981), the work is an optimistic and artistic demonstration, with the Amphitheatre\u00a0becoming a place of peaceful contemplation.<\/p>\n<p>We will meet at 2pm outside the Swansea Train Station to pick up the placards before marching down the High Street, Castle Street and Princess Way before finishing behind the Leisure Centre in the Amphitheatre. The procession will take approx 45mins.<\/p>\n<p>These placards have been made by public participation in our painting workshops across Swansea. They will be available to pick up at outside the train station from 1.45pm. Everybody is welcome to take part.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?attachment_id=6789\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6789\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6789\" alt=\"Jacob Dehlgren Demonstrations3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Jacob-Dehlgren-Demonstrations3-300x213.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"213\" srcset=\"https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Jacob-Dehlgren-Demonstrations3-300x213.jpg 300w, https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Jacob-Dehlgren-Demonstrations3.jpg 325w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Talking about the importance of the public\u2019s participation, Dahlgren says it is \u2018super important, I just felt it would be really interesting to make something in the city where I involve a lot of people.
