The artists are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jacobdahlgren.com\/\">Jacob Dahlgren<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.juneauprojects.co.uk\">Juneau Projects<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.auralab.co.uk\/\">Laura Sorvala<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.matthewhoulding.co.uk\/\">Matthew Houlding<\/a><\/li>\n<p><!--more--><\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?attachment_id=6789\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6789\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6789\" alt=\"Jacob Dehlgren Demonstrations3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Jacob-Dehlgren-Demonstrations3.jpg\" width=\"325\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Jacob-Dehlgren-Demonstrations3.jpg 325w, https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Jacob-Dehlgren-Demonstrations3-300x213.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 325px) 100vw, 325px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jacob Dahlgren (Sweden) work mixes sculpture, collage and painting with large scale participatory events. For Swansea, Dahlgren will lead one of his artistic processions through the city centre to the Amphitheatre, where a permanent sculptural work based on demo placards will be situated. Dahlgren represented Sweden as part of the Nordic Pavillion at the Venice Biennale 2007<\/p>\n<p>Juneau Projects are artists,\u00a0Philip Duckworth and Ben Sadler. Their\u00a0idiosyncratic take on nature, technology, music and art comes to Swansea in the shape of five plywood sculptures attached to a copse of trees in Singleton Park. This will become the beacon for a series of events mixing bird spotting, pirates, fancy dress, storytelling and picnics. Juneau Projects were included in the\u00a0Tatton Park Biennial, Cheshire, in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Laura Sorvala\u00a0brings ideas to life via graphic recording, visual facilitation, illustration and design. She will undertake her largest work to date, a 8m x 8m cube situated in Swansea City Centre. This will capture and illustrate the many different people and stories of Swansea in Sorvala&#8217;s unique style. A live onsite drawing event will take place during the exhibition. Sorvala has undertaken commissions for Chapter, Cardiff; Ecod Design Wales and Diffusion Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Houlding&#8217;s sculptures and collages draw us into a fantastic, retro-futuristic world, inspired by architectural forms and models, modernism and a childhood spent in East Africa. Situated opposite the Guildhall, Swansea&#8217; Houlding&#8217;s work not only mirrors the building but references the nearby beach.<br \/>\nRecent exhibitions include,\u00a0The De La Warr Pavillion, Bexhill on Sea,\u00a0New Art Gallery Walsall,\u00a0ICIA, Bath.<\/p>\n<p>A full programme of participatory events, workshops and education programme will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n<p>Both Houlding and Juneau Projects are represented by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cerihand.co.uk\/\">Ceri Hand Gallery<\/a>, London. Dahlgren is represented by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.workplacegallery.co.uk\">Workplace Gallery<\/a>, Gateshead.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside David Blandy, Ceri Hand is selecting the inaugural Locws International Public Art Open Submission.
