Conjuring playful installations, performances and video works, she offers the viewer an unexpected \u2018escape\u2019 from the routine of everyday life by harnessing its very characteristics, meticulously orchestrating mundane objects and events into captivating artworks that celebrate the unsung potential of the &#8216;ordinary&#8217;.<br \/>\n<\/br><br \/>\nAxford completed a BA in Fine Art at Newcastle University and an MA Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, London and is currently represented by Workplace Gallery, Gateshead.<br \/>\n<\/br><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-609\" title=\"axford2\" src=\"http:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/axford2-300x193.jpg\" alt=\"axford2\" width=\"300\" height=\"193\" \/><br \/>\n<\/br><br \/>\nExhibitions and Residencies include: \u2018Tomorrow the Future\u2019, Fishmarket Gallery, Northampton; \u2018All my Favourite Singers couldn\u2019t Sing\u2026\u2019, Workplace Gallery, Newcastle; \u2018Hand me Down\u2019, Edinburgh Festival, Edinburgh (cross artform collaboration); \u2018Camberwell Arts Festival\u2019, Camberwell, London; \u2018The B-side\u2019, Grundy Art Gallery, Blackpool (solo); \u2018View Halloo\u2019, Turner Contemporary, Margate (solo); \u2018The Interval\u2019, Berwick Gymnasium Gallery, Berwick (solo) ; \u2018Babel\u2019s Folly\u2019, Locus+, Newcastle.
