The five new artworks will be situated in highly visible locations, responding to Swansea\u2019s rich and diverse heritage, culture and population. They will be complemented by a series of permanent and ongoing works including <em>Locws International\u2019s Art Across The High Street<\/em> programme.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Art Across the City<\/em> 2012 artists are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 <a title=\"Joanne Tatham &amp; Tom O\u2019Sullivan introduce their work for Art Across The City 2012\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=4727\">Joanne Tatham &amp; Tom O\u2019Sullivan<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> \u2022 <a title=\"David Blandy introduces his work for Art Across The City 2012\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=4711\">David Blandy<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> \u2022 <a title=\"Fiona Curran introduces her work for Art Across The City 2012\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=4709\">Fiona Curran<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> \u2022 <a title=\"David Marchant introduces his work for Art Across The City 2012\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=4717\">David Marchant<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> \u2022 <a title=\"Jock Mooney introduces his work for Art Across The City 2012\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=4722\">Jock Mooney<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Joanne Tatham &amp; Tom O\u2019Sullivan\u2019s shelters on Museum Green are decorated with a rainbow pattern and a cartoon cut-out face; David Blandy has created The Devil meets Dylan Thomas, a videogame where you play as Swansea\u2019s literary hero; Fiona Curran uses two trees in the grounds of St Mary\u2019s Church as the foundation for a colourful accident; David Marchant\u2019s Cowin\u2019 Lush neon were created using the drunken scrawls of revellers on Swansea\u2019s infamous Wind St; Jock Mooney\u2019s graphic drawings of Bonnie Tyler, Swansea Jack, ice creams and The Swansea Devil are turned into the Swansea Kebab, situated in Castle Gardens.<\/p>\n<p>For our launch event, David Blandy&#8217;s The Devil Meets Dylan Thomas will be available to play in our unique information hub situated in the Museum courtyard, before being relocated to Oxford St, Swansea. Visitors to the launch event will be able to draw their own self portrait on David Marchant&#8217;s blackboards, which were the original inspiration for his neon work on Swansea&#8217;s notorious Wind Street. A short film documenting the Wind Street drawing workshop will also be on display along with films showing the installation of all works.<\/p>\n<p>A display of <a title=\"Art Across The City 2012 Limited Edition Prints\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=4732\">limited edition prints<\/a> from each of the artists will be available to buy or reserve on the evening.<\/p>\n<p>The artists will be available for photographs and interview on the evening or by arrangement. Five permanent Locws International commissions from artists further support the 2012 programme. These include Bristow Lloyd, Mark Folds, Bermingham &amp; Robinson and Niamh McCann and Bedwyr Williams, who will represent Wales at the Venice Biennale in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Locws International\u2019s newly appointed Project Manager, Gordon Dalton, said \u2018I\u2019m extremely excited to see the works across Swansea.
