The exhibition included artworks by pupils from Ysgol Crug Glas, Ysgol Gymraeg Felindre, Ysgol Pen-y-Bryn, Pen-y-Fro Primary School and Seaview Primary School. The artworks were made in response to artwork in Locws International\u2019s \u2018Art Across The City\u2019 event in April and May 2011. The launch was a success with pupils, teachers, Councillors, local artists and members of the public all attending to celebrate the pupils\u2019 artistic achievements.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nLocws Schools is an educational art project run in conjunction with Arts in Education, which sees pupils from local schools guided around the \u2018Art Across The City\u2019 events by artist David Marchant who explains the ideas and processes behind the artwork. The Locws Schools exhibition is shown alongside the current \u2018Art Across The City\u2019 event which involves five new temporary artworks sited across Swansea, both exhibitions are free and open to the public until the 30th October.<br \/>\n<br \/><!--more Read more .... --><br \/>\nFor further information visit www.artacrossthecity.com or collect a leaflet from the Civic Centre or National Waterfront Museum.<br \/>\nLocws International works with international and Welsh contemporary artists to create new visual artworks and projects that respond to the culture and heritage of the City of Swansea.
