{"id":3394,"date":"2011-06-11T14:07:20","date_gmt":"2011-06-11T14:07:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/?p=3394"},"modified":"2013-02-12T15:29:19","modified_gmt":"2013-02-12T15:29:19","slug":"locws-schools-2011-cymraeg-felindre-primary-school-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/?p=3394","title":{"rendered":"Locws Schools 2011: Cymraeg Felindre Primary School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Artworks inspired by Locws International Art Across The City 2011<\/strong><br \/> <br \/>\nThere were some really interesting ideas floating around when I arrived at the school.<br \/>\nThere were a lot of children interested in horses due to the location of the school and were also inspired by the art work, \u2018Little bird\u2019 by Laura Ford. <br \/>\nAfter a few demonstrations using clay and mod-rock and with materials plentiful, we started work on two unusual sculptural pieces straight. One sculpture was \u2018half child, half horse\u2019, \u2013 turning out to be a horse\u2019s head that could be worn by a child and the other sculpture was a horse\u2019s body with a strange human head.<br \/>\nOther groups liked the idea of making cityscapes to portray an amalgamation of ideas that were taken from the tour day. The children viewed the art as \u2018modern\u2019 and they decided to make a futuristic city with real lighting. <br \/>\nOne group liked, and were inspired by Alex Duncan\u2019s work wanted to make a model of objects floating at sea. Cut out lettering with experimental, coloured, laminated tissues inserted behind these model created a impressive opaque background and a small group of girls made letters to spell the word Felindre in a model. <br \/>\nOverall everyone in the class worked really hard and some amazing results were produced by all.<br \/>\nDavid Marchant 2011<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\"
