{"id":2636,"date":"2010-11-29T11:56:27","date_gmt":"2010-11-29T11:56:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/?p=2636"},"modified":"2013-02-12T15:31:45","modified_gmt":"2013-02-12T15:31:45","slug":"locws-schools-2010-danygraig-primary-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/?p=2636","title":{"rendered":"Locws Schools 2010: Danygraig Primary School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Artworks inspired by Locws Projects 2010\/2<\/strong><br \/>\nThere were some great ideas undertaken during these sessions and everyone really enjoyed the Locws schools experience.<br \/>\nInspired by a metal crest, situated on the Dylan Thomas Centre, and entwined with a birds nest, one group made a model of how nature adapts to our man made environment. This idea was also supported by Tine Beck\u2019s Star being intertwined with debris from the river where birds were settling on it, which we also saw that day.<br \/> <br \/>\nAnother group were inspired by \u2018The Ice House\u2019, which was seen as a cannon. A model of Kilvey Hill with craters was made from clay inspired by Simon Whitehead\u2019s work. Simon made a great impression on one group who made a map of the school and due to research found a diary of the school from 1911 \u2013 1923.
