\nThis Locws Schools exhibition presents a collection of artwork by pupils from Bishop Gore Comprehensive, Cwmbrwla Primary School, Daniel James Community School, Penyrheol Comprehensive and Penyrheol Primary School, which were made as a response to artworks in Locws International \u2018Art Across The City\u2019 events in 2009.
\nLocws Schools is an educational art project run in conjunction with Arts in Education, which sees pupils from local schools guided around the \u2018Art Across The City\u2019 events by artist David Marchant who explains the ideas and processes of making the work. The pupils then create their own art projects inspired by what they have seen and learned.
\nLocws International events illustrate a broad range of contemporary artwork and are unique in that each of the artworks is made as a direct response to an aspect of Swansea’s culture, heritage, architecture or people. The artworks, created by international and Welsh artists using a variety of mediums, provide a unique educational opportunity and have inspired these pupils to create some very interesting and exciting responses.
\nWith support from The Arts Council of Wales, The Esm\u00e9e Fairbairn Foundation, The City & County of Swansea and The National Waterfront Museum.

\nMae arddangosfa Ysgolion Locws yn cyflwyno casgliad o waith celf gan ddisgyblion o Ysgol Gyfun Esgob Gore, Ysgol Gynradd Cwmbrwla, Ysgol Gymunedol Daniel James, Ysgol Gyfun Penyrheol ac Ysgol Gynradd Penyrheol, a wnaed fel ymateb i waith celf digwyddiadau \u2018Celf ar draws y Ddinas\u2019 gan Locws Rhyngwladol yn ystod 2009.
\nMae Ysgolion Locws yn brosiect celf addysgiadol mewn cydweithrediad \u00e2 Celf Mewn Addysg, lle mae disgyblion ysgolion lleol yn cael eu harwain mewn digwyddiadau \u2018Celf ar draws y Ddinas\u2019 gan yr artist David Marchant, sy\u2019n egluro\u2019r syniadau a\u2019r broses o wneud y gwaith. Yna mae\u2019r disgyblion yn creu eu prosiectau celf eu hunain, wedi\u2019u hysbrydoli gan yr hyn a welwyd ac a ddysgwyd.
\nMae digwyddiadau Locws Rhyngwladol yn darlunio ystod eang o gelf gyfoes, ac yn unigryw gan fod y gweithiau celf yn ymateb uniongyrchol i agweddau o ddiwylliant, treftadaeth, archaeoleg neu bobl Abertawe. Mae\u2019r gwaith celf, a gr\u00ebwyd gan artistiaid Cymreig a Rhyngwladol gan ddefnyddio amrywiol gyfryngau, yn darparu cyfle addysgiadol unigryw, ac wedi ysgogi\u2019r disgyblion i greu ymatebion diddorol a chyffrous.
