Keep an eye on our YouTube channel<\/strong><\/a> to see the film and join us for a screening of the film in the SwanComm Film Festival<\/strong><\/a> on May 26th <\/strong>at The National Waterfront Museum.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The workshops enabled participants to design, develop and create<\/strong> their own film which involved creative writing, character design, animation, video \/ sound recording, and editing. Participants were encouraged to develop their own ideas from the outset and were guided through the process of scripting, designing, and shooting their films.<\/p>\n The film is about homelessness in Swansea<\/strong> and features three interviews with the participants who share true stories about their own personal experiences. The group also developed a surreal animation whilst learning about the stop-motion filming technique. They made the animations using collages<\/strong> of photos and drawings, the film also includes the original poetry<\/strong> of one of the participants, John Hauxwell.<\/p>\n The team went on to shoot on location around the city, including at the beach, the museum, and in the City centre, with the use of Jamie’s advanced technical equipment<\/strong>. All this gave them the opportunity to develop new skills and self confidence, whilst practising new technical filming and camera skills.<\/p>\n It was a real attribute to the group that three participants who attended, taking the role of ‘workshop volunteers<\/strong>‘, are previous learners from our courses. Their enthusiasm, dedication to knowledge sharing, and support for the group, added a positive dynamic to the structure of the course. As these individuals have already attained the Agored Cymru ‘Film-Making’ accreditation, they moved forward to the ‘Volunteering in the Community’ accreditation, we really appreciate and commend Stuart, Estee, Gemma <\/strong>and Richard<\/strong> for all of their hard work!<\/p>\n The Wallich<\/strong><\/a> is a homeless charity based in Wales that operates under three core objectives:\u00a0getting people off the streets; keeping people off the streets<\/strong>; and creating opportunities for people.\u00a0They believe that everyone deserves the right to a home, but more than that, that everyone deserves the right to feel safe, to feel valued and to feel positive about their future.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/IMG_0980.jpg\")
