{"id":11290,"date":"2016-01-19T14:19:26","date_gmt":"2016-01-19T14:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/artacrossthecity.com\/?p=11290"},"modified":"2017-02-18T22:57:14","modified_gmt":"2017-02-18T22:57:14","slug":"new-film-workshops-starting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/?p=11290","title":{"rendered":"New Film Workshops Starting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that our new series of film workshops will be starting soon, these creative skills development programmes for residents of <em>Communities First<\/em> areas in Swansea, have been formed in partnership with the <strong>City and County of Swansea, Communities First, <\/strong>the<strong> Swansea Creative Learning Partnership, <\/strong>the<strong> WEA <\/strong>and<strong> LOCWS International.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The programme offers a 4-day group workshop project led by artist <em>David Marchant<\/em> to enable participants to design, develop and create their own film, animation or music video.\u00a0Participants will be encouraged to <strong>develop their own ideas <\/strong>from the outset and guided through the process of scripting, designing, filming, and promoting their films as part of a dynamic film crew.\u00a0The project offers a first taste of a popular medium in an enjoyable and instructive way that aims to give participants employability skills, build confidence, broaden horizons and encourage further study, training and seeking employment.<\/p>\n<p>This documentary film captures the stories and development of participants during the first series of <strong>Art Across The City<\/strong> film workshops during 2015.
