{"id":11255,"date":"2016-01-05T10:34:54","date_gmt":"2016-01-05T10:34:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/artacrossthecity.com\/?p=11255"},"modified":"2017-02-19T21:54:34","modified_gmt":"2017-02-19T21:54:34","slug":"11255","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/?p=11255","title":{"rendered":"BBC Make It Digital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LOCWS International<\/strong> are excited to announce that<strong> Sam Saidely<\/strong>, our new work experience candidate, will begin a 3 week placement with us from <em>Monday January 11th<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This is in partnership with the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acttraining.org.uk\/bbc-make-it-digital\/\">ACT Training<\/a><\/strong> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/articles\/1gkwk58DPmRzt2TzDp3pr9x\/about-make-it-digital\"><strong>BBC Make It Digital<\/strong><\/a> programme, which is helping young unemployed people boost their digital skills and get a foot on the jobs ladder. The placement forms part of the nine-week traineeship that includes training from the world-renowned <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/academy\"><strong>BBC Academy<\/strong><\/a>. It teaches participants basic digital skills, such as creating simple websites and short videos for the web; and gets young people ready for work with employability skills and the work placement.\u00a0<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Sam<\/strong> will be designing a digital media campaign for an exciting new <strong>LOCWS International<\/strong> project due to launch in the coming months..<\/p>\n<p><strong>BBC Cymru Wales<\/strong>, the <strong>Welsh Government, Department of Work and Pensions<\/strong> along with <strong>ACT Training<\/strong>, are working in partnership on the project.
