{"id":10158,"date":"2015-07-30T12:25:38","date_gmt":"2015-07-30T12:25:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?p=10158&#038;langswitch_lang=en"},"modified":"2015-07-30T12:25:38","modified_gmt":"2015-07-30T12:25:38","slug":"locws-schools-2015-grange-primary-workshops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/?p=10158","title":{"rendered":"Locws Schools 2015: Grange Primary: Workshops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Workshop days with David Marchant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grange is a Primary School with its own surrounding woodland area so there was no doubt in my mind that this would be a site-specific artwork influenced by the school grounds.<br \/>\nOne group made a sculpture of two flowers, which could then be used as a photo prop whereby the children put their faces in the centre of the flowers. This work was a static style interactive performance piece derived from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?portfolio=michael-stumpf&amp;langswitch_lang=en\"><strong>Michael Stumpf<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?portfolio=michael-stumpf&amp;langswitch_lang=en\"><strong><!--more--><\/strong><\/a>Others were inspired by their school logo and made a large seagull sculpture. Others made memory boxes where\u00a0 everyone was welcome to post their favourite memory of the school. A very exciting \u2018Art Attack\u2019 style work was made of the school badge with different materials being used and the children themselves becoming part of the art
