Locws International\u2019s annual Outreach and Education Exhibition<\/i><\/b> was successfully launched at the Civic Centre in Swansea on 04.06.15, and was officially opened by The Lord Mayor Of The City & County of Swansea, Councillor John Newbury.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The exhibition, organised in association with Swansea Arts in Education, showcases Locws International\u2019s award winning Education and Outreach Programme<\/strong><\/em> and the artwork created by local creative talent during Locws Schools<\/b><\/a><\/em> in 2014\/15 with artist David Marchant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The exhibition features additional projects in partnership with Communities First and artist David Marchant<\/strong> to produce a collection of clay models, based on the \u2018Prototype<\/em>\u2018 sculpture by David Cushway<\/a> <\/strong>for Art Across the City 2015. The following schools participated during the Easter holidays:<\/p>\n

Another collaboration included in the exhibition shows the outcome from a unique film-prop making workshop hosted in partnership with Adjacent Education <\/strong>from Bay Studios.<\/strong> This involved a group of young people with an interest for the film industry, who were taken on a tour to see Graham Dolphin<\/strong><\/a>s monument for Art across the City 2015.<\/p>\n

The exhibition also features the winning entries and a selection of the best artworks submitted for our Supersonic Car Drawing Competition, <\/strong><\/em>inspired by \u2018Prototype\u2018 <\/em>the sculpture by David Cushway.<\/a><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Lord Mayor Of The City & County of Swansea Councillor John Newbury awarded five main prizes to the following outstanding winners:<\/p>\n

The exhibition runs until Sunday June 21st 2015, in the Civic Centre main foyer and exhibition space.<\/p>\n
