{"id":5577,"date":"2012-05-16T14:12:09","date_gmt":"2012-05-16T14:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.locwsinternational.com\/?post_type=portfolio&#038;p=5577"},"modified":"2022-02-02T16:30:18","modified_gmt":"2022-02-02T16:30:18","slug":"helen-edling","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/locwsinternational.com\/?portfolio=helen-edling","title":{"rendered":"Helen Edling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sjung Sj\u00f6ng Sjungit<\/strong> and <strong>Hemh\u00f6righeter<\/strong><br \/>\nNational Waterfront Museum<br \/>\nSwedish artist Helen Edling\u2019s two new installations respond to artworks by the Polish artist Josef Herman, whose work was inspired by the mining community of Ystradgynlais where he lived between 1944 and 1955.<\/p>\n<p>Using the museum in unexpected ways, Helen Edling presents the viewer with a series of playful theatrical scenarios, ranging from small scenes of family life and<br \/>\nwork to a mischievous flock of miners\u2019 canaries who are in the process of \u2018stealing\u2019 Herman\u2019s painting \u2018Miners Singing\u2019.
