Visit ‘Art Makes Children Powerful‘ at Yorkshire Sculpture Park

LOCWS International commissioned Bob & Roberta Smith to create ‘Art Makes Children Powerful’ for Art Across the City 2014 in Swansea. We are proud to share these official images of the work in place at it’s current home in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

The work is a a powerful, evocative statement in Smith’s signature sloganeering style. While in Swansea this overlooked the main Boulevard through Swansea. Immediate and accessible, Smith’s words are both poetic and political, sending a positive message to people of all ages about the power and importance of education.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a pioneering place that aims to challenge, and inspire the 400,000 visitors who arrive each year to explore the vast expanse of rural outdoor gallery space. Visit for free all year round!
